He found his footing in the music scene, watching and playing the Blues in respective clubs in Chicago as a teenager in the 60s. “My stage name was given to me by Muddy Waters”, Lincoln Beauchamp stated. With the stamp of encouragement from fellow blues legend, the singer and harmonica player, “Chicago Beau”, was welcomed into the electrifying genre. As a world renown traveling bluesman and storyteller, he has shared his dynamic soul stirring performances on stages across continents. In 2016 Beauchamp released his latest album, “Black Names Ringing”, a project that is phenomenal in its tantric ability to bring its audience closer to its context, through perspective and sound.
For this special event, Chicago Beau will grace the legendary Gospel Lounge stage with some of Kansas City’s top musicians. Expect an explosive night of musicians coming together to celebrate the deeply rooted history of Blues with an exciting rhythmic performance.
