Kelley Hunt (Piano Kelley)- Acoustic Quartet
Under 21 with Guardian
Earlier in Roots/Blues/Americana singer songwriter keyboardist, guitarist, recording artist Kelley Hunt’s celebrated decades-long career The MINNEAPOLIS STAR-TRIBUNE said: "Surprises don't often crop up on the well-trodden blues circuit. So welcome Kelley Hunt. This Kansan is a full-blown phenomenon: powerhouse singer, hardboogieing pianist, polished songwriter…” That review is still a valid economical characterization of a multi-faceted, pan-roots music artist sometimes difficult to describe. Hunt’s career comprises over 2000 live performances on some of the most significant festival stages in North America and Europe, 6 appearances on American Public Media’s award-winning radio broadcasts of “A Prairie Home Companion”, songs in indie and feature films and hundreds of thousands of indie units sold and downloaded. She makes music with it's righteous roots intact, that crosses boundaries, has an open-minded, exploratory attitude and at times takes on social and political issues.
Kelley returns to Knuckleheads with her acoustic trio featuring singer Allena Ross and superb acoustic bassist James Albright. The material and arrangements on this show are tailored to her trio concept and sure to come to life in the intimate, well-produced Gospel Lounge.
